Omar Karim
Omar Karim is the Director of Brand & Video Demand Products at Amazon. His team is inventing the next generation of immersive advertising experiences for Gaming and TV, leveraging sight, sound and motion to connect with new customers in entertainment contexts. Omar launched Sponsored TV, a self-service ad solution for brands of any size - even if they have never advertised on TV before, to engage audiences across their favorite streaming services like Prime Video, Twitch, Freevee, and more than 30 publishers via Amazon Publisher Direct.
Prior to joining Amazon Ads, Omar was the Chief Product Officer of Engine Gaming and Media, building esports, analytics, and influencer marketing services for leading game publishers such as Riot, Epic, EA, Activision, Microsoft, and Tencent. As a product and engineering leader, and twice a founder, Omar has spent 25+ years developing social, mobile, web, and video applications for media companies such as ABC, CBS, CNN, Vice, and Newsweek. Omar is an adjunct professor at The New School and lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
