By the Numbers: I'm 50, MAU is 10, and Thousands (including the Who's Who of Apps + Games + Solutions) will be in Vegas in 4 Weeks
What’s New for MAU?
My end of month update? It’s a bit late this cycle. In the past two weeks I managed to go on Spring Break for a week, break several toes and turn 50 years old.
And you know who else has a birthday? MAU – this year we’ll celebrate ten years of the MAU community coming together to collaborate and share opportunities. From newbies to OGs, MAU will be a homecoming in our final year at MGM Grand. Stay tuned for the big reveal for the future of MAU from the Mainstage.
The MAU frenzy is building
And we’re here to capture it for you. Something old and something new.
Something old (well, one year old): We’re bringing back our social media wall that captures anything tagged #mauvegas. I love seeing how creative people get to stand out and promote their presence at MAU. Check out what’s trending here:
Something new: Our new LUMA page. Hundreds of events take place during the entire week of MAU. Solution providers go out of their way to impress. This list will continue to build over the next few weeks. Here’s a link to the current list of events making their way to MAU 2026 Hangouts | MAU Vegas 2026
If you want to be added to the list, you have 2 options
1 – If you’re a sponsor, login to your exhibitor portal in Map Your Show. There’s an area to add a link to your Luma event. Not hosting in Luma, submit your landing page and we’ll make it work.
2- Not a sponsor? DM me directly and we’ll look to see if we can add it to the list.
Planning to Stake Out the MGM and not get a Badge?
Ummmm…not the best opportunity to make sure you get a chance to meet the entire MAU community.
Like last year, we’ll be handing out wristbands and badges which are required for all MAU Vegas events and areas, including the Cabanas, the Skylofts and parties. New this year, we’re adding your photo to your badge. Many global events are stepping up security features and this is something new you’ll notice. We'll also have a full registration check-in for the Skylofts.
Still need convincing? Take a look at the convince your boss page. If you’re the boss, let me convince you. Nowhere in the world will this many marketers, founders, practitioners and more from studios, apps, games and publishers descend on one location to truly network like they will at MAU.
Why aren't you registered yet? We do have Early Bird prices that keep it free for apps, games, mini games, studios, publishers and more for a few more weeks. Take 5 minutes to remove this from your to do list Register | MAU Vegas 2026 (and book your hotel)!
Gen Alpha is Here!
Last year we realized the sheer number of Founders coming to MAU. One standing room only speaker was still in high school (looking at you Zach Yadegari) - you're always welcome back to the stage.
We know MAU is the launchpad for app growth, so we are going school to school…university to university…and inviting the next generation of app behemoths to check out MAU.
We have faculty and students from USC, UNLV and UCLA. Students at University of Utah, MIT and Carnegie Mellon have received information. If you know a school or have an in, let us know. We’re happy to work with them. Students + Faculty | MAU Vegas 2026
And not just for Gen Alpha, but Founders House now has a sponsor in EHVM Apps Capital . They're upgrading a can't miss experience.
Globalization and Diversity at MAU
While habits may be different in some countries, we all have similar success stories (and challenges) to share that provide unique insight into user behaviors.
That’s why I love to see international attendance is on the rise this year. We had a great (new) turnout last year, including a rise in participants from APAC and Europe. We had our first Brazilian speaker and he's back. And now we’re watching international registration surpass last year’s turnout.
Where My Girls At
I sing this song in my head, and sometimes out loud to the team, any time we get going on the topic of events for women at MAU. Also, further proof that I am 50 years old and why my daughter now calls me an oldie. If you want a throwback, watch this: https://youtu.be/3lO5eGEnyRA?si=A9NeLLIqQdra1_A7&t=41
Wednesday, May 20 features Women in mobile growth: Challenges, wins, & the path forward - MAU Vegas 2026
Thursday, May 21 features Women in Leader(sip)
More importantly we have some updates to MAU Vegas. Women in Leader(sip) was so successful we are making it our primary event for females in the community to come together. Planned, as always, by Nancy Roberts and Kyla Dodd, this year’s White Lotus themed event will now include a full-service lunch. Add it to your calendar and see the full agenda and activations.
Standby because in 2 weeks, I’ll be back with more DE&I events as we go live with our new Braindates later this month.
The Advisory Board
None of this would be possible without our Advisory Board. Here’s a shout out to the people who help make MAU a success.
