The safety and security of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and staff is our top priority at MAU 2025. While much of our security infrastructure is working behind the scenes in conjunction with the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, we are continuously reviewing and enhancing our procedures to ensure the safest experience possible for everyone.


Security measures and operational plans are in place at our events, including:

  • Badge/ticket verification
  • Uniformed and covert security guards
  • Crowd management staff, signage and barriers, as necessary


To help us all stay safe and secure during the event, here are five key things you can do:

While badges are required within the event space, please remove your badge when leaving the event space. On the final day of the event, we’ll have designated receptacles for the safe disposal of badges.

Always remain alert, especially in crowded areas. Trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, take note of it. If you see something, say something. Please report any suspicious activity immediately to event management or onsite security personnel.

Keep your valuables close to you at all times. For added security, consider storing important items in your hotel room or locked storage when possible.

We recommend carrying only what you need in cash. For your safety, use credit cards or ATMs when possible, to minimize the risk of theft. Keep your ID on you at all times.

Be mindful of alcohol consumption, especially in unfamiliar environments. Stay aware of your limits and look out for each other. When socializing at night, find a buddy. Avoid traveling alone.

Our emergency plans are in place to keep everyone safe. If the fire alarm is triggered or an evacuation is required, you will hear clear announcements from the MGM Grand Conference Center speaker system and event staff will guide you to the nearest safe exit. GM Grand Conference Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art fire prevention and sprinkler system with 24-hour monitor control by MGM Grand personnel. In the event of a fire, call ext. 55911 on a house phone or (702) 891-3600 from your cell phone to report the incident. In order for the system to be fully effective, it is most important that there is no interference with sprinkler heads, fire extinguishers, and fire exit doors.

Notice will be given by a whistle alarm and a flashing strobe light. Listen for voice instructions over the PA. Remain in your meeting area and evacuate if instructed to do so. Do not take escalators or elevators in an emergency evacuation. Use only the emergency stair exits. MGM Grand Security will arrive on the scene to direct and assist. Follow all directions issued by MGM Grand Security Officers.

If you need medical help, please approach the nearest MAU 2025 staff member who will direct you to the medical team and help you get assistance quickly from MGM personnel. MGM Grand Security can be reached directly at ext. 55911 on a house phone or (702) 891-3600 from your cell phone. Be prepared to give your location in MGM Grand Conference Center, your name, and the nature of the emergency. MGM Grand Security has EMS responders.

We’ll provide safety information through our mobile app, signage throughout the venue, and event communications.

In the event of an emergency, our team is trained and ready to respond quickly. You will be notified via announcements or mobile app notifications with clear instructions. Evacuation routes are clearly marked, and event staff will be on hand to assist you.

For any assistance during the event, you can reach out to the nearest staff member or security personnel; any items turned in will be held at the MAU Vegas registration desk.
