Format Descriptions

Mic Drop

An 8-minute presentation or hot take on a topic that stimulates critical thinking, sparks conversation, and drives networking conversations. These high-level talks are meant to be engaging and thought provoking.

Case Study

Case study presentations give real-life examples of a problem or scenario often highlighting the challenges and outcomes from the situation. Speakers will highlight practical insights, data, and lessons learned from their own experiences.

Panel Discussion

Typically consisting of 3-4 speakers and a moderator, a panel is a group of experts brought together to share their experiences and insights on a specific topic. Our panels are designed to offer diverse viewpoints and stimulate thoughtful conversation. Audience Q&A may be included at the end.

Fireside Chat

A fireside chat is typically an informal one-on-one conversation between a highly qualified speaker and a moderator.  It’s designed to highlight personal anecdotes and insights on a specific topic in a more relaxed and intimate way.

Roundtables

An interactive session where a small group of participants can engage in an in-depth conversation on a specific topic.  These sessions are meant to be informal and collaborative with attendees sharing ideas, asking questions of others in the group, and brainstorming solutions to a problem.

Meetup

A curated experience built for tailored communities that exist within the MAU Vegas attendee make-up. These will be topical, engaging, and collaborative experiences that bring ideas and communities together from across the mobile landscape. Experiences and topics will vary.

As a speaker you have access to the entire conference. This includes the Expo Floor, breakout sessions, and networking events. We encourage you to join us on Tuesday, May 20, our Kickoff Day, for a full day of programming and the opening reception taking place that evening. We also encourage you to stay through Friday, May 23 so that you can attend our closing party on Thursday, May 22.

While we don’t have an official dress code, we recommend business casual. Remember to wear comfortable shoes! You will easily take 10,000+ steps a day, if not many more.

Most sessions at MAU Vegas are recorded. If you are unsure, please contact bianca.dux@clarionevents.com to confirm if yours is.  If you'd like a copy of your recording, we can share this approximately 2 weeks after the show.

We ask that you arrive at your assigned room 15-20 minutes before your session and report to the a/v desk. The a/v technicians will set you up to go on stage.

While you are not obligated to conduct any live Q&A, you can leave the last 5 minutes of your session to answer any audience questions. We will have a process in place with MAU staff support to help execute. Details and instructions will be provided closer to the event.

Depending on the format of your session, slides are optional. If you use slides, you must submit them to the MAU content team by May 9th. Please make sure you follow the format guidelines when creating your presentation deck. Format guidelines and instructions for how to upload these can be found on your task list. An MAU branded template is available but is not required to use.

If you are participating on a MAU created panel, we will introduce you to your moderator and fellow panelists at least 4-5 weeks prior to the show’s start date.

If you are on a MAU created panel, there will be a prep call scheduled ahead of time. Once you are introduced to the other speakers on your panel, the moderator will reach out to schedule a time to get together and discuss the content.  If you are not on a panel but would like a prep call with an MAU Vegas Content Team member, please contact bianca.dux@clarionevents.com.

We will provide microphones, a slide advancer, and a countdown clock at all stages.  If you have any questions about what is included or special requests, please reach out to bianca.dux@clarionevents.com.

Yes, there will be a quiet room onsite for speakers to relax, prepare for their session, or get some work done. The room number will be shared ahead of the show.

If you can no longer make it please contact bianca.dux@clarionevents.com, asap! We will handle it from there.
